CLEANER - Multiple Posts
The Purpose of the Position
Do you take pride in creating a clean, welcoming environment for others? Are you someone who values being part of a team that helps young people thrive? Winstanley College is looking for a Cleaner to join our Cleaning Team—someone who understands the importance of keeping our campus safe, hygienic and ready for learning every day.
As a Cleaner, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students and staff by helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness across the college. From classrooms to social spaces, your work will ensure everyone feels respected, comfortable, and valued in their surroundings.
You’ll carry out general cleaning duties including wiping surfaces, hoovering, mopping floors, emptying bins, and maintaining shared areas like toilets and corridors. Your attention to detail and sense of responsibility will directly support student wellbeing and contribute to a safe, positive college environment.
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hard-working and takes pride in a job well done. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team and will work both independently and collaboratively to meet shared goals.
In return, you’ll join a warm, inclusive community where your work makes a meaningful difference. You’ll have access to staff wellbeing initiatives and safeguarding training, and a team that values your contribution every single day.
This is an active role that involves being on your feet and moving around the college. Some light lifting and carrying may be required and can be discussed further at interview.
